VMware New Appointment for SEA and Korea

Fan Qu has been appointed as director, Channels and Alliances, of VMware Southeast Asia and Korea (SEAK), as a strategic pivot towards the company’s  channel priorities.

In this role, Fan will advance the Virtual Cloud Network vision in the partner community and accelerate the digital transformation journeys of enterprises in the region.

“We see tremendous potential for our partners to monetize the cloud, and our priority is to strengthen their capabilities so they are best equipped to seize opportunities,” said Fan. “We want to continue investing in our partners and enabling them to deliver the best-in-class services to our customers in the region.”

Deshmukh, vice president and managing director, Southeast Asia and Korea, VMware. “With Fan leading our channel strategy, we are well-positioned. I have utmost faith that he will grow our partner ecosystem from strength to strength in the coming years.”

Fan joined VMware in 2013 as a senior partner business manager, during which he was tasked with responsibilities including managing the VMware Cloud Services business. He also took on various channel management roles for the Southeast Asia and Korea markets. In his new position, Fan will continue managing distributors, solution providers, OEMs, SISOs, VMware Cloud Providers and technology alliance partners.

Prior to joining VMware, Fan worked at IBM as Wintel server sales leader for General Business in Singapore.
