The SAP and Google Cloud partnership

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Of all the partnership that SAP had announced at this year’s TechEd in Barcelona, none was more significant, perhaps, than the partnership with Google Cloud Platform.

Google Cloud CTO, Brian Stevens, was on stage at Barcelona, to talk about technical collaborations and integrations that Google Cloud Platform (GCP), now has with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Hybris, and even Google Suite’s integration with SAP systems.

The presentation shifted a little towards Google’s own chip, Titan, and how security is important for the company, and then Stevens also shared about Access Transparency, a feature for managed services, which will provide visibility every time an operations staff accesses resources on behalf of a customer.

The feature will show what resource was accessed, who accessed it, where it was accessed from, and why it was accessed.

The objective, when Access Transparency is combined with SAP’s Data Custodian technology, is that it would enhance governance, risk and compliance, within an organisation.
