You have to seek value. When our teams seek out ideas, they can get excited about, “I got this to do that on that technology.”

And I say, “That sounds fantastic. And what does it mean in terms of a banking strategy that says ‘We are going to be customer-focused, deliver through mobile and increase our speed, agility and efficiency?

“What does that experiment mean to those pillars of our strategy?”

So we have to seek out the value, because sometimes we get so enamoured just because we have done something – but what does it mean? What does it mean mostly to our customers?
