PIKOM launches PC Fair this March 2016

After a short hiatus, the National ICT Association of Malaysia (PIKOM) will re-launch the highly popular PIKOM Fair – the much awaited retail ICT event in the country – well regarded as the landmark cash and carry event for retailers and consumers. Featuring some of the world renowned brands from the I.T. and Gadget industry, PIKOM Fair promises to provide more bargains and surprises for consumers.

To be held in March, the upcoming PIKOM Fair will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on March 12-13, 2016 and then at the Johor Persada Johor International Convention Centre from March 19-20, 2016. This year’s PIKOM Fair is set to showcase several key changes towards providing greater value to participating brands and to enhance the experience of attending consumers.

Among the key differences is this year’s PIKOM Fair will be concurrently with the FACON Education Fair. This synergy will create a complete educational and tech-related platform that caters to a more diverse target market while showcasing how ICT and education are inter-connected today. Other attractions at PIKOM Fair include exciting offers and attractive gift vouchers for visitors during the two-day event.

“We have re-introduced PIKOM Fair given the growing demand from both consumers and retailers to stimulate the retail ICT sector. While the market has somewhat adjusted to the implementation of the Goods & Services Tax (GST) and other factors, it has yet to return to previous levels. PIKOM Fair is one of several measures to address this situation,” shared PIKOM Chairman, Chin Chee Seong.

Chin also added that going forward, the PIKOM Fair will undergo a revamp that will transform it from a purely retail, cash and carry event to a showcase of industry thought leadership, innovation, leading trends and so on that will elevate the event to a new level of sophistication and attraction to all stakeholders.

“We tentatively plan to launch the new PIKOM Fair 3.0 later in 2016. Plans are progressing and we hope to share more details once things are finalised,” he added.
