Paul Mattes introduces Veeam’s first SDN tool

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]When announcing their new software-defined networking solution, Veeam Software’s Global Cloud Group VP Paul Mattes pointed out, “Hardware fails, software have bugs and people make mistakes.

“And when disaster happens, you need to recover data with minimal downtime and minimal loss of productivity.”

As a result of hearing from customers that a huge hurdle to a good data recovery plan is the quick set up of on-demand network, Veeam set out to rectify the situation.

The Veeam Disaster Recovery in Microsoft Azure comprises of two components – an existing Direct Restore to Azure solution and the all-new Veeam Powered Network (Veeam PN).

The Veeam PN is a free lightweight software-defined networking (SDN) tool to help customers quickly set up a Disaster Recovery site on Microsoft Azure.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text](This journalist was a guest of Veeam Software’s to their annual conference, VeeamON 2017 in New Orleans, Louisiana)[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
