Official Launch of Xperanti IoT, Malaysia’s First Licensed Nationwide IoT Network and Solutions Provider
Xperanti IoT (M) Sdn. Bhd. (Xperanti), the first licensed nationwide IoT network and solutions provider in Malaysia invited over 100 guests from selected industries and government bodies to witness its launch at Sunway iLabs. Present to officiate the launch was His Excellency Frédéric Laplanche, French Ambassador to Malaysia.
Xperanti has deployed a nationwide purpose-built industrial IoT network and currently on a mission to be the country’s preferred IoT solutions enabler – bringing IoT solutions to life. To achieve this goal, Xperanti has exclusively partnered with a French company – Sigfox, the leading global IoT enablement network, deployed in over 50 countries around the world to power IoT connectivity and drive digital transformation.
This offers businesses and consumers the opportunity to subscribe to Sigfox’s communications services with nationwide coverage, including all urban and industrial areas, main transport/communication systems and any other area based on demand. The objective is to enable operational excellence through cost effective and sustainable IoT solutions via Xperanti’s ecosystem of partners.
“It is truly a great pleasure for me to be here today to officiate the launch of Xperanti, especially since it is the exclusive partner of Sigfox in Malaysia. The synergy between the wholly Malaysian Xperanti and French Sigfox is an excellent way to bring global technologies to support Industry 4.0 here in Malaysia,” H.E Frédéric Laplanche said.
Xperanti is here to enable Malaysian enterprises to develop purpose-built IoT solutions that are practical and scalable and to support the adoption of Industry 4.0, particularly in key sectors such as Agriculture, Transportation & Logistics, Manufacturing, Utilities, Oil & Gas and Aviation.
Earlier this year, Xperanti signed an MoU with Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) with the aim of assimilating Industry 4.0 into the aviation industry. This makes MAHB the first major organisation in the country to commit to fully adopting the Internet of Things as a part of their modus operandi.
Radin Asrul Adza, General Manager of Information Technology Division of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) said, “In partnership with Xperanti and Sigfox for this project, we are hoping to revolutionise the airport experience within a few years in line with our Airports 4.0 vision. We want the passengers to feel the touch of personalisation and connectivity in our airports, from scheduling, to process automation, to basics like cleanliness and efficiency. Hopefully, we can be an example to other organisations in Malaysia with regards to the value of IoT technology working hand-in-hand with companies.”
Also highlighted at the event was the MoU signing between Xperanti and Strand Aerospace Sdn. Bhd for a POS Aviation project. The collaboration includes various enterprise IoT projects with customers in the aviation and construction industries. The partnership will also establish innovation collaborations between the two companies.
Xperanti is about business and community outcomes, committed to working closely with the Government, Malaysian corporations and SMEs, to deliver on the growth of opportunities and benefits that IoT can provide to businesses across Malaysia.
In the words of Xperanti founder, Nallen Singhe, “As we embrace a New Malaysia, it is paramount that we forge forward on a global level, especially in the area of technology. As Xperanti is in the forefront of bringing global technology to the country with our partnership with leading global IoT enablement network, Sigfox, there is no doubt we are on the right path. Our ultimate goal is to bridge the digital divide here in Malaysia as we pride ourselves as the first licensed nationwide IoT network and solutions provider in the country.”
He added, “The network is built and designed to enable cost effective and sustainable IoT solutions for an ecosystem of partners to support Industry 4.0… We are here and have already deployed this nationwide purpose-built IoT network with over 80% nationwide coverage.”
“Xperanti IoT has made a great achievement to become the #1 Nationwide IoT Network provider; delivering Sigfox global IoT connectivity and solutions to the Malaysian market. We are excited to support their success,” said Roswell Wolff, President of Sigfox Asia Pacific. “As part of the seamless Sigfox global network, Xperanti now connects Malaysia to the 54 other countries and territories which make up our worldwide community.”
“With IoT growing to be an integral part of the Malaysian digital economy we see tremendous national opportunities for Xperanti with IoT deployments in agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, transportation sectors and more.” Wolff said.
“Sigfox views Malaysia as a strategic market for IoT; given its strengths in agriculture, raw materials, manufacturing and technology developments, as well as being a regional logistics hub connecting China with Southeast Asia and beyond.”
Wolff also remarked on the “tremendous success of Xperanti in having created a complete ecosystem of Malaysian partners, with purpose-built industrial IoT solutions, ready to support Malaysia Industry 4.0 initiatives, as well as other massive IoT deployments. These are precisely the kinds of offerings for which the low cost, scalable Sigfox solution has been established.”
