Mellanox Technologies to Expand Presence in Southeast Asia

Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ: MLNX), a leading supplier of high-performance, end-to-end smart interconnect solutions for data center servers and storage systems, announced that it is expanding its presence in Southeast Asia by opening a new office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The office will serve the increased business operation needs in the country. Mellanox Ethernet and InfiniBand interconnect solutions enable world-leading data centers to achieve highest return on investment. The new office will provide IT managers and data center users to enjoy closer collaborations and partnerships with Mellanox for enhancing their data center performance and efficiency.

Mellanox’s expansion in Malaysia is in line with the country’s ambitions of becoming the leading Big Data Analytics (BDA) solutions hub in South East Asia, spearheaded by a structured BDA roadmap that unleashes the value of big data.

As an industry veteran, Hong brings with him over 20 years of local IT industry experience, having various functional roles from technical engineering to sales. He also spent some time at Hewlett-Packard Malaysia, Cisco Systems Malaysia, Hitachi Data Systems Malaysia, Dimension Data Malaysia and Palo Alto Networks, where he served in various roles from enterprise account manager to key management positions.

Mellanox Ethernet solutions have already been chosen to accelerate large HPC customers in Malaysia. The company is dedicated to increasing partnership collaboration throughout Southeast Asia and expanding its reach to more users and partners.
