Maxis is the exclusive carrier of OnePlus2 in Malaysia
Following the successful launch of the OnePlus One in April, Maxis and OnePlus are once again partnering for the launch of the much anticipated OnePlus 2 in Malaysia.
Similar to the OnePlus One, Maxis is the exclusive carrier of the OnePlus 2, and will make the smartphone available via the Maxis Online Store at www.store.maxis.com.my beginning 22 September from 10 am onwards, exclusively for customers who have received a special invite to purchase the smartphone. Delivery of the online orders will begin on 28 September and the phone will also be made available at Maxis outlets nationwide on the same date. Customers who have yet to register for an invite can do so at www.maxis.com.my/oneplus2.
The 64GB Sandstone Black OnePlus 2, at an RRP of RM1,687, will be available with Maxis Zerolution at just RM104 a month. The OnePlus 2 also comes with Maxis’ new MaxisONE plan, which now offers up to 8GB of data on Malaysia’s widest and fastest 4G LTE network. The new plans will also continue to offer truly Limitless Calls and SMS to any number in Malaysia, and now starts at an affordable RM98 a month.
“The OnePlus has become one of the most sought after smartphone brands in the market and has continued to pique the interest of tech enthusiasts. Once again, Maxis is the exclusive carrier of the OnePlus 2 and we’re excited to add it to our growing range of device offerings. With the Maxis Zerolution programme, our customers will be able to enjoy all the cutting-edge features the phone has to offer at the best value, on the best data network in the country,” said Dushyan Vaithiyanathan, Maxis’ Head of Consumer Business.
“We are pleased to be bringing the OnePlus 2 for our fans here. I’m also proud to announce that Malaysia is the first country in the region to get the OnePlus 2. Maxis has also crafted a very attractive package via their Zerolution programme with no contract or tie-in to make the OnePlus 2 even more affordable,” said General Manager of OnePlus Southeast Asia, Adrian Lee. “Maxis will utilise the OnePlus invite system to ensure that our fans are prioritised. Fans who receive their invite codes can walk into any Maxis store. The salesperson will verify the invite online and soon, the fan is a proud owner of the OnePlus 2. This is a first of its kind collaboration with a carrier and we’re very pleased to launch it in Malaysia.”
