Malaysian government representative to officially open Critical Communications World 2019

The organisers of CCW 2019 have announced that Mr Tan Chuan Ou, deputy secretary general at the Malaysian Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (MMCM), will be opening the show on the 18th of June.

Other representatives from this year’s host country include MCMC chairman Al-Ishsal Ishak, and Praba Sangarajoo, who is the vice president of mission critical communications operator, Sapura.

The Malaysian Ministry of Communications and Multimedia is responsible for a variety of work areas within the Malaysian government, including broadcasting and the film industry, as well as communications technology. Tan Chuan Ou is responsible for a number of core areas within the organisation, including communications technology, infrastructure and regulations.

Prior to joining MMCM, he was the under-secretary Policy Division of the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change. He has also served in the ministries of Transport, Housing and Local Government, and Higher Education, as well as the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

Critical Communications World is the largest and most influential event in the global public safety comms field, attracting thousands of visitors every year. It takes place next week – from 18-20 June – at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur.
