Malaysia Land Public Transport Commission Solutions Provider and Education Learning Programme Innovator to join GITEX
Cyberview Sdn Bhd, the Technology Hub Enabler behind the success of Cyberjaya – the emerging Global Tech Hub, has announced that PSTech and Tenations Global were selected to participate in the 2015 Gulf IT Exhibition (GITEX), which will be held from 18-22 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
With the plan to expand and explore business partnerships and opportunities in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region, PSTech and Tenations Global beat other hopefuls to take part at the world tech event. Both companies were chosen based on their products which Cyberview felt best reflected and were most relevant to some of the key themes at this year’s event.
As the IT consultant for the Land Public Transport Commission of Malaysia (SPAD), PSTech developed an Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS), which is to be executed at the national level. The complete solution covers ticketing, selling/recharging/passenger access control, revenues management and settlement. Simultaneously, they offer other holistic solutions such as Smart Visitor Registration System, Smart Parking Management System, Vehicle and Human Counting System, which will also be demonstrated at the event.
As for Tenations Global, the innovator behind Beamind International programme (an extended learning programme by renowned educational group Q-dees) will present its new-age learning system to the world for the first time. This programme is developed through intensive research, which integrates mentorship, fun-filled edutainment games, thought-process training modules, coupled with Beamind Link & Think methodology to inspire youth to become tomorrow’s world-class learners.
Faris Yahaya, the Managing Director of Cyberview Sdn Bhd said: “The cutting-edge solutions/products produced by PSTech and Tenations Global truly reflect the strengths and technical capabilities of Cyberjaya technopreneurs. Cyberview as the facilitator of business, government, and community in Cyberjaya, is proud to take our SMEs’ business onto the global map. We are confident that both SMEs will gain positive interest from international prospects and shine under the Cyberjaya Malaysia Pavilion at GITEX.”
Since 2010, Cyberview has successfully led 13 SMEs to GITEX. For many of these companies, GITEX has generated many potential leads with some materializing into distribution partnerships and even revenue generation. Last year’s entrant, Terato Tech Sdn Bhd, had received many leads with potential sales of up to RM2 million after launching their Slurp POS system. Since then, Terato continues to see success from the product with an average of 11 installations per week.
Faris notes “Cyberview is currently in the first phase of its journey to elevate Cyberjaya into a Global Tech Hub. Two strategic collaboration platforms namely the Smart City and Living Lab initiatives have been established to help facilitate local and foreign technology companies in the nine technology areas of Information Security, Creative Content Technologies, Mobile Internet, Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics, Green Technology, Biotechnology, Wearable Technologies and Smart Grid Technology.”
“Cyberjaya today is not just a technology center – it is a Living Lab for innovations. We customise programmes to connect companies with a network of tech giants for continuous skill enhancements, marketing collaborations, and industry partnerships. As a result, many have launched and eventually grow their products in, and beyond Cyberjaya. People who live in Cyberjaya will also benefit as they become the pioneer adapters to experience and adopt new technologies. It is because of this that we can say Cyberjaya is truly a Living Lab, a Smart City to live in, and a Global Technology Hub that advances technologies that benefit the masses,” Faris added.
Growing leaps and bounds over the past 19 years, Cyberjaya today is the host of more than 800 Malaysian and international companies including Hewlett Packard (HP), DELL, Fujitsu, AMD, HSBC, Shell, BMW and many more. Cyberjaya is on its way to becoming a Global Technology Hub with a mission of taking technology leadership to create high income job opportunities, as well as the preferred investment hub specifically in the growth of the following nine technology areas.
With a robust and resilient infrastructure set-up in Cyberjaya, the tech city has been the breeding place for many successful start-ups and SMEs such as Animonsta Studios, IX Telecom, DreamEDGE, etc. The investors and business communities in Cyberjaya are backed by Cyberview’s consultancy management, local and international marketing services, and its extensive network with the government and industry leaders.
Since its inception in 1981, GITEX has grown to be one of the most influential world tech events. It attracts over 143,000 ICT professionals from more than 150 countries, with a pull of high-profile visitors such as the largest banks, universities, oil and gas, retailers, and corporations in the region. That being said, Cyberview is proud to collaborate with Malaysia External Trade Corporation (“MATRADE”) for the fifth year to bring top Cyberjaya SMEs to GITEX, as part of its commitment to help enlarging market opportunities and fostering partnerships between Malaysia and Middle East ICT businesses.
