HeiTech poised to become a leader in ICT infrastructure and management services

HeiTech Managed Services (HMS), one of Malaysia’s established data management services providers, is on a roll and has set its sights on becoming a leader in providing a world-class and comprehensive information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and management services.

HMS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of information technology firm HeiTech Padu Bhd (HeiTech) has invested more than RM100 million for the past 10 years in ICT components such as hardware, software and network-related equipment, including several mainframe and latest world-class large-scale computing servers at Tier IV-ready Data Centre, HeiTech Village II in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Chief Executive Officer Abdul Halim Md Lassim said HeiTech has been in operations for more than 20 years, providing ICT infrastructure expertise and its customers include businesses that have huge and important data such as banks, insurance companies and government agencies.

“Among the achievements of the company is its success in meeting the needs of customers and this is one of the first projects of its kind in this region where we combine the best of our tools that are mainframe system and services,” Halim said.

HMS’ innovative data centre management services, known as i-sentrix, targets organisations that handle thousands of transactions simultaneously with the super-fast response and high level of service.

For example, an organisation that provides services to their customers through multiple delivery channels, such as over-the-counter which has branches throughout the country, kiosk, Web portal or mobile applications.

i-sentrix provides comprehensive data centre management, from planning and designing capabilities “capacity planning”, and building data centre to the hosting for 24×7, operational and technical support, and services to business continuity solutions.

The company also plans to expand its expertise by opening a few more data centres in the northern and southern regions and east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, as well as Sabah and Sarawak.

The centre provides 24-hour power supply and security services and a host of telecommunications network which is gazetted as a restricted zone by the National Security Council in 2014.
