Google chooses Quann as its cybersecurity partner in Asia Pacific

Quann announced that it has become a Google Cloud Platform Services Partner. Under the partnership, Quann will offer comprehensive cyber security services – from security architecture assessments, data penetration to testing and incident response management – which are critical for securing IT infrastructure on the cloud. Quann and Google will also collaborate on cyber security threat analytics powered by Google’s analytics engine and technologies. This is to provide enterprises with a higher level of threat intelligence to better predict and prepare themselves for future threats.

Mr Foo Siang-tse, Managing Director at Quann, said, “Securing cloud is complex. It is a nascent field in Singapore as many enterprises and cloud services running today are not ready from the security-standpoint. Hence, it is imperative that enterprises work with public cloud platform providers to ensure a multi-dimensional security on the cloud – from data centre to network and application security.”

Being one of the world’s largest cloud platforms, Google Cloud Platform is employed by businesses for multitude of applications, from running simple websites to creating highly complex computing and network applications.

As Asia-Pacific races towards greater digitalisation, cloud platforms are quickly becoming the backbone of business infrastructure across the region. According to IDC[1], while public cloud services spend is expected to grow seven times faster than over all IT spending, security remains the biggest concern from businesses and consumers alike.

“The value that cloud applications and services bring to businesses is undeniably immense. However, recent cyberattacks make it evident that businesses are still highly vulnerable. With the right solutions, the cloud can be as secure as on-premise solutions. A secure cloud platform will enable enterprises to respond faster to security threats, focus on mitigating business risks and save on on-premise infrastructure investment.” added Foo.

Quann cyber security services on Google Cloud Platform are now available in Singapore.
