FastJobs, Takaful Collaborate to Provide Protection to Workers
FastJobs Malaysia, award-winning tech-driven job platform, partners with FWD Takaful Berhad to provide low-cost takaful coverage to FastJobs’ gig jobseekers for as low as RM31 per month. This collaboration between the tech-driven job platform and the takaful operator is first-of-its-kind in Malaysia and is in line with the Government’s National Economic Recovery Plan or PENJANA
Under this initiative, it aims to promote the country’s gig economy and provide a social safety net for gig workers who are mostly independent contractors, online platform workers, contract firm workers, on-call workers, and temporary workers. Most importantly, both FastJobs and FWD Takaful would like to provide easy access to online hospital cash income plan to this group of beneficiaries at an affordable price.
The complimentary takaful protection, FWD MedSecure Direct (Plan 250), will be offered to first 2,000 FastJobs’ jobseekers for a campaign duration of two (2) months. The plan provides cash allowance during hospitalisation and is offered to Malaysians aged 17 to 60 years old.
“We are confident that this takaful awareness initiative will help maximise the country’s productivity rate and further solidify Malaysia’s aim of transitioning into an advanced economy of shared prosperity in view that 26 percent (or 4 million) of the total 15.3 million Malaysian workforces are freelancers,” said Joelle Pang, FastJob’s General Manager

The promo code will be made available on FastJob’s platforms for the first 2,000 job applicants. They will be able to redeem their 3-month complimentary FWD MedSecure Direct (Plan 250) using this promo code. Each participant will be subjected to FWD Takaful’s underwriting approval process. FWD Takaful’s online channel is simple, reliable and direct, which enables participants to manage their Takaful certificates at their own convenience and it’s affordable for everyone.
