Enterprise IT News honoured at Cybersecurity Malaysia’s third media awards presentation

National cybersecurity specialist agency, Cybersecurity Malaysia (CSM) has honoured Enterprise IT News during an official IT and media appreciation event that was graced by the presence of senior officials and the deputy minister of the Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI).

MOSTI deputy minister Y.B. Datuk Wira Dr. Abu Bakar Mohamad Diah and CyberSecurity Malaysia chief executive officer Dato’ Dr Hj Amirudin Abdul Wahab presented Enterprise IT News editor, Catherine Yong, an award for its coverage of cybersecurity news throughout 2016.

During the ceremony, 12 Information Security Certification Body (ISCB) certificates were awarded to Malaysian organisations which successfully complied with Common Criteria ISO/IEC 15408, Information Security Management System (ISMS) ISO/IEC as well as Malaysia Trustmark Service for e-business validation.

According to Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Panglima Mohd. Azumi, in the latest International Telecom Union (ITU) Global Security Index 2017, CSM was ranked third most committed in raising cybersecurity awareness among the 193 countries surveyed. 2017 marks a significant milestone for CSM as it celebrates its 20th anniversary.
