EmTech Asia 2020 Postponed to 4-5 August 2020

MIT Technology Review and Koelnmesse, the co-organisers of EmTech Asia, have postponed Asia’s leading conference on emerging technologies until 4-5 August 2020.

On Friday, 7 February 2020, Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) issued a Code Orange alert under the Disease Outbreak Response System Condition, or Dorscon, criteria. Orange means that the Covid-19 (aka Novel Coronavirus or 2019-nCoV) outbreak in Singapore is deemed to have moderate to high public health impact.

“As the situation pertaining to the Covid-19 is constantly evolving, heightened travel restrictions across the Asia Pacific have meant that postponing the conference is appropriate, as maintaining the health and well-being of each person attending EmTech Asia is our top priority,” said Mathias Kuepper, Managing Director of Koenmesse Pte Ltd.

“We are very grateful for the understanding and commitment expressed by our partners, speakers and sponsors and look forward to their continued support in August”, he added.

EmTech Asia has been bringing together thought leaders from around the world for the last six editions. The conference prides itself with featuring the most important topics in technology today and exploring new approaches to working with and driving innovation.

EmTech Asia was to take place in Singapore, 25-26 February 2020 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore.
