edotco and Digi Partners to Enhance Network Coverage
edotco Malaysia (“edotco”) and Digi.Com Berhad (“Digi”) signed a collaboration agreement, making Digi one of edotco’s preferred partners in its telecommunications infrastructure services business.
This agreement will pave the way for Digi to access edotco’s telecoms infrastructure footprint of over 3,600 sites nationwide and new built-to-suit sites to accelerate Digi’s network expansion to deliver consistent and high quality internet services to more Malaysians nationwide and build on its position as Malaysia’s widest 4G LTE network.
edotco and Digi have a long history of network collaboration since 2013, with a joint strong aspiration towards maximizing operational synergies. This partnership will allow the two (2) companies to maximize the deployment of shared sites, in turn saving operational costs and reducing environmental impact for a sustainable future.
With this partnership in place, edotco is set to deliver both co-location and build-to-suit sites, over a period of five (5) years which will give Digi the advantage to further strengthen its network footprint and service quality nationwide.
The partnership between edotco Malaysia and Digi marks a significant milestone in the trend of deepening telecoms infrastructure collaboration for data networks, and showcases Malaysian companies leading the way in adopting telecoms infrastructure sharing as the most sustainable model for the telecoms market.
CEO of Digi, Albern Murty said, “This collaboration is an extension of our commitment to strengthen our network position to bring quality internet experience to more customers in more areas in Malaysia. We are pleased to build on our partnership with edotco, and we look forward towards realizing the full potential of this collaboration.”
CEO of edotco Group, Suresh Sidhu said, “This agreement marks a significant milestone in strengthening our relationship and deepening our collaboration with Digi and the Telenor Group. At edotco we believe infrastructure sharing and collaboration will continue to increase in both Malaysia and the region, and we are proud to have Digi as one of our pioneer partner in this venture.”
Signing on behalf of the respective companies were Kesavan Sivabalan, Chief Network Officer of Digi and Hadi Helmi, Managing Director of edotco Malaysia.
