DHL Honours Long Service Staff at the 40th Anniversary Gala Dinner in Malaysia

It was an evening of celebration for DHL Express Malaysia who recently marked their 40th year anniversary at the Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The event was attended by 650 guests, including DHL employees, partners and customers.

According to David Ng, Managing Director, DHL Express Malaysia and Brunei, “We are proud of our accomplishments here in Malaysia and 2013 serves as a great reminder of DHL’s considerable achievements in the past four decades. We have opened a total of 11 service outlets across 4 key states in Malaysia in 2011 and will continue to expand in Malaysia with 8 additional new retail outlets, making it a total of 38 outlets in the country by the end of 2013.

These achievements were celebrated along with a tribute to over 70 long-service employees for their contributions to the company. Mr. Gabriel Moses, Kuala Lumpur Gateway Manager, DHL Express Malaysia, was one such deserving employee who clocked over 30 years of service with the company. According to Mr. Moses, “DHL has been very successful at retaining their employees. The organization ensures that everyone achieves satisfaction in their jobs, whether they are seeking a work-life balance, a sense of personal achievement or simply a happy place to work in. Since day one, DHL has given me plenty of opportunities to grow and learn. The company and its people has become like a family to me rather than simply a place I work in”.
