Acuity International Aims To Push Local Logistics Industry Forward, Tap Into UD$9.1 Trillion Global Market

Vivian Chan, Founder and CEO of Acuity International talks to Enterprise IT News about how the company will drive local industry forward.

EITN: Please share observations you may have about the logistics and freight market?

Vivian Chan: What I see is the growth of collaborative working is at the rise where many stand-alone Freight Forwarders will get stronger by joining together in making a bigger impact. Exploiting new technologies like platforms and new ways of providing logistics solutions. Freight Forwarders that make the move towards collaboration would complement their service offers.

Logistics companies are facing a time of changes as digitisation takes hold and customer expectations continue to rise. Greater efficiency and more collaborative ways of operation combined with new technologies is needed specifically in logistics industries. As customers’ expectations increase, we will have to look into ways in digitisation in order to provide customers with more efficiency and transparency with better traceability and predictability of their shipment’s movement.

When we look into the future, we see collaboration, we see technologies, we see closer personal touch, but most of all we see opportunities.

EITN: How have you managed to chart your growth in such a short span of time?
