TM,VMware Strengthens its Partnership with tGrid Project

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), Malaysia’s national telecommunications infrastructure provider, in partnership with VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW), a leading innovator in enterprise software, announced the launch of tGRID project, an initiative to transform the existing Cloud Platform to TM ONE Cloud Solutions through expansion of services to cater for end-to-end cloud platform that enables next-generation innovation for Malaysian enterprises. The project, which will see the offering of the new, enhanced TM ONE Cloud services to its business customers, will also feature VMware’s industry-leading solution that allows TM to connect both its Standalone (SA) and Non-standalone (NSA) 5G networks on a single cloud platform, ensuring a seamless and reliable 5G experience for enterprises and consumers.

With 5G adoption set to add RM12.7 billion to Malaysia economy between 2021 and 2025 while creating 39,000 new job opportunities, enterprises in Malaysia are investing heavily into next-generation technologies that will allow them to capture the growth opportunities from the country’s fast-expanding digital economy.
