A Vanson Bourne IT survey commissioned by Juniper Networks, discovered 97-percent of respondents say their companies face challenges securing their organisation’s network effectively.

When employees brought their company laptops and devices home to work, the attack surface had increased massively. What happened was that employees on unsecured home networks were logging onto enterprise networks to be able to do their work. Statistics have demonstrated that work productivity actually increased during these lockdowns and the use of digital tools and devices increased as well.

To exacerbate matters, potential threats are next to impossible to mitigate because devices and tools are located outside enterprise networks, leaving IT administrators blind to who and what is accessing networks and company information.
