I remember one time when I was at a multinational corporation and I proposed solution to be implemented at no additional cost at that time, there were only license fees to pay. Boss rejected. One and half years later boss got TCS to make proposal.
Six months and USD60,000 later, TCS proposed exactly the same solution at cost of USD250k and this, the boss signed off on it because it had become absolutely necessary at that point.
