Imperva extends distributorship to Malaysia with Exclusive Networks
Exclusive Networks was recently granted an official distributorship which extends its existing global partnership with Imperva, the cybersecurity leader in protecting business-critical assets. Exclusive Networks is the global specialist value-added distributor (VAD) for cybersecurity and cloud solutions.
Having partnered in a similar capacity in other countries in the region for the past 8 years, this is the first time that the collaboration will come to Malaysia.
Wang Xihan, Area Vice President Asia of Imperva said, “We will continue to explore the expansion of our partnership with Exclusive Networks in countries that require their presence.”
Significantly, the distributorship in Malaysia is expected to widen and accelerate market penetration of Imperva’s analyst-recognised solutions in the local market.
Xihan commented, “Exclusive Networks is a global VAD (value-added distributor) for cybersecurity and cloud solutions that can help to accelerate local market entry and growth for solution providers like Imperva.”
“This is great news for our reseller community both within Malaysia and across the region, providing new opportunities to address application, data and cloud security challenges with a proven market leader,” said Brad Gray, Senior Vice President (APAC) at Exclusive Networks.
Attention, Malaysian businesses
While the banking industry, public sector and government-linked organisations is Imperva’s focus, it has solutions that are relevant for every vertical.
Imperva’s Data Security solutions are designed to address Malaysian enterprise breaches such as ransomware, phishing attacks, and web defacements through various security measures, such as data risk analytics, monitoring, masking, discovery, classification, policy-based monitoring, and deception technology. Malaysian enterprises with apps and data in cloud infrastructure will also benefit from Imperva’s Cloud WAF, the industry’s leading web application security firewall that protects websites from application layer hacking attempt.
Xihan added that by maintaining a robust cybersecurity posture, organisations will be able to minimise cybersecurity incidents and recover faster from cyberattacks, allowing organisations to continue delivering their core products and services to customers.
Exclusive Networks and Imperva have identified immediate opportunities they can engage with together. One of the paths they will take to convert opportunities is to establish Imperva as the preferred security provider for Application and Data Security in Malaysia, especially in the area of cloud DDoS and database protection.
In the next three to five years, Imperva and Exclusive Networks also want to be part of the growing DevSecOps movement in Malaysia.
DevSecOps is about introducing security earlier in an application’s development lifecycle. The idea is to build applications that are more secure instead of security being only an afterthought.
